About Us: Slow Travel, Deep Roots, and The Art of the Experience

Our Story: Embracing the Rhythm of Slow Travel

In 2025, we traded the traditional "home base" for a life of continuous exploration. We lean into the rhythm of slow travel, establishing ourselves in a new region for weeks or months at a time. This isn’t about checking boxes; it’s about becoming a "temporary local."

Whether we are navigating the historic squares of Europe or venturing through the landscapes of Africa and beyond, we prioritize deep immersion. We trade the stress of constant relocation for the joy of truly connecting with residents, uncovering hidden gems, and experiencing the authentic essence of a place. While we are travelers at heart, we still find our way back to the U.S. to reconnect with family and friends before the next horizon calls.

Expertise in the Glass and the Boardroom

As a Certified Experience Economy Expert and a WSET 3-certified wine professional, I (Danielle) look at every destination through a lens of strategy and design. Alongside my husband, Tom, we seek out the Touchpoints — those specific moments of connection — that elevate a simple trip into a life-changing experience.

On this site, we share:

  • The "Hub and Spoke" Strategy: Insights on selecting the perfect central location to minimize travel stress while maximizing discovery.
  • Wine & Cellar Insights: Professional reviews of regional wines, from renowned labels to unpretentious farmhouse finds.
  • Bucket-List Excursions: From historic walking tours and morning power walks to "must-play" international golf courses.

Corporate Retreats & Workshops

While we are on the move, the work doesn't stop. I continue to facilitate Experience Strategy workshops and corporate retreats, specifically designed for organizations looking to innovate and connect. I love leveraging my global wine connections to host these sessions in unique winery settings, blending professional growth with an world-class sensory experience.
